Hi, I have tried this a few times, but can't get it to work.

The style.css file looks a little different with the twentyfourteen theme, like there is a table of content and the template: entry in missing... I am not sure how to make it work with this theme. Have followed all steps several times, but it does not show up as a child them in my wordpress backoffice

Hi Sophie,

It may be that the parent theme styles haven't been included.

The Codex page for How to Create a Child Theme should help as the examples use the Twenty Fourteen theme and explain how to include the parent styles.

Thanks
