Hi, please help.. I'm trying to remove the last item on this list but it's saying syntax error.

I've tried to remove the last item by typing this: .remove (5) but it's a syntax error.

The question reads:

I made this list and now it has some invalid pieces in it. Maybe you can help me clean it up. Use the .remove() method to remove the last item from the list, please.

lists.py
states = [
    'ACTIVE',
    ['red', 'green', 'blue'],
    'CANCELLED',
    'FINISHED',
    5,
]
.remove (5)

Hi Darren! You're nearly there - rather than just writing the remove function, you need to "apply" it to the list like this:

states.remove(5)

Hope that helps!
