Hi! What seems to be the problem with my solution

I should be able to exit the loop with this IF statement no?

breaks.py 
def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        print(item)
        if item == "STOP":
            break

Hello,

you want to check if you should stop first, and print only if the item is not equal to 'STOP', so just a bit of rearranging, and your done with this challenge. 

def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        if item == 'STOP':
            break
        else:
            print(item)
