hi what structure should I use in order to get the right code?

def add(a, b): try: a = int(input("Num1= ")) b = int(input("Num2= ")) except ValueError: return None else: return (float(a) + float(b))

Sergey, Hi. There's no need for input. You get the values via the function's parameters num1 and num2. And you need to make num1 and num2 floats early on, in the try clause, not in the return statement:

def add(num1, num2):
  try:
    num1 = float(num1)
    num2 = float(num2)
  except ValueError:
    return None
  else:
    return num1 + num2
