Please i want to know how Slices would be applied in this code

Hi, Gee mix:

def multiply(*args):
    # make product first argument
    product = args[0]

    # loop through rest of arguments
    for arg in args[1:]:
        product = product * arg     # get multiplied value of all of the supplied arguments

    return product
