8,954 PointsHow can I hide the playback bar in the video? It blocks information at the bottom..
When displaying the video in the chrome browser on windows 8 the playback bar at the bottom of the video does not auto hide and it blocks images and text displayed at the bottom

7,991 PointsI have the same issues with mine. I have started using TeamTreehouse in Firefox where the video player works fine. But I would love for it to work properly in Chrome though.

8,954 Pointsi found a work around if i right click on the video and click show controls. i see the built in player control bar at the bottom and if i full screen it, the other playback bar disappears. This only works for full screen though

838 PointsHi Enrest Vasquez & Liam Hammersley !
Sorry to hear about the trouble. I am afraid that is an issue with Chrome. We are working on a fix but it is not available just yet. (Edit) Would you be able to email me more information at help@teamtreehouse.com? What extensions are you using? Thank you for your help!
We do suggest either downloading the videos instead of streaming them, or switching browsers, or watching full screen. I hope these suggestions help! If you need anything please email the Support Team at help@teamtreehouse.com. :)
All the best,
Elizabeth

3,523 PointsI'm having the same problems with Chrome on Windows 8.1. I'd recommend switching to another browser, preferably Mozilla Firefox. The Treehouse dev team are working on a fix at the moment, but I don't know when it'll be implemented.

28,971 PointsNo solutions yet ? Is firefox the only browser that hides the bar ?

3,523 PointsI heard Internet Explorer is also alright for watching Treehouse videos, so you could switch to IE, but my problem with IE ranges from lagging to crashing all the time. I would, personally not recommend it.

28,971 PointsYes, from the very first time you said Internet ..... and then all my faith went away. I am not installing that, it reminds me of Windows. Anyways I just decided to hardcode the "visibility: hidden" as an attribute and of course it works, but I am looking for another solution. I can't figure it out, it was working before (like charm)...
