How can I prepare for "Build a Todo List Application with Rails 4"?

I have been doing the Rails Development track and understanding everything so far... Then I got to "Build a Todo List Application with Rails 4". This course doesn't make much sense to me. Is there another course I could do to help me prepare more for building this app? Should I complete another track before doing this one? Please help!

Hi Grant,

The Build a Todo List is heavy on test driven development. Which is a great thing to know, but IMHO, it's overkill for people that are new to programming -- it should probably be an advanced course. Although I'm glad Jason decided to cover Test Driven Development.

The Rails course Building a Simple Ruby Application was the course that really helped me understand rails and git -- the course is slightly out of date though. In this course you make a simple rails application called Treebook. One caveat I should mention, the Treebook course was created with Rails version 3, so it's possible to use Rails version 4, but you have to make some modifications that are different from what is shown in the videos. It's probably easier to create the Treebook application using rails version 3.
