How come it is not letting me put
closing tag and giving me an error when I do?

This is getting really frustrating and I do not know why this keeps happening

Hey Nick!

That question is a bit tricky and definitely through me for a loop at first as well. So when the question asks you to add the nav element after the link, they mean after the total link which is the entire anchor element. So that isn't until after the anchor element is closed at "/a>" in the code. So yours should look like this:

Nick Pettit

Designer

I hope this helps and will get you to the next step of the challenge...at that point is where you will add your "li" list items.

Best, Elena
