how do i assign a variable to an alert?

scripts.js

 var myName
myName = "Sean Curran";
 var myAge
myAge = 26;
var message
message = "myName"  + "myAge";

function alert(){

var message = "myName" + "myAge";

message.alert("myName is + myAge");

}

To assign a variable to an alert, you don't wrap it in quotes.

You also don't need a function to do so. ;) After removing the function, replace it with

alert("My name is " + myName)

This will assign the alert your myName variable and upon loading of your web page pop an alert up with the content My name is Sean Curran.
