How do I center the margin ?

I've tried margin: 0 auto;

and

margin: center

Neither seem to work...

Yes, Jose is correct. It looks like it likely failed due to the missing semi-colon after the max-width value. That has been something that has made me constantly have to use console to debug my JavaScript.

  max-width: 940px;
  margin: 0 auto;

I think you want to center the content so you can use this.

wrapper {

max-width: 940px; margin: 0 auto; }

and by the way you forget the semicolon of the max-width rule.

this will center the content inside the wrapper automatically;
