How do I color paragraphs? The video never discussed paragraphs.

The video for hexadecimal colors never discussed paragraphs (p) and yet the code challenge is asking me to code the paragraphs to black. I tried using the code p { background-color: #111111; } but it didn't work, neither did coding it as just "color". HALP

css/main.css
a {
  text-decoration: none;
}

#wrapper {
  max-width: 940px;
  margin: 0 auto;
}

#logo {
  text-align: center;
  margin: 0;
}

h1, h2 {
  color: #fff;
}

nav p {
  color: #111111;
}

What ben said in the comment. Justified answer.

Two things. One, you need to use the p tag and the color property. Two, the hexadecimal value for black is #000000 or #000 for short.

p {
color: #000;
}
