I cannot seem to add both the ID and Username into a final string and connect them together with the # sign... please help. Thank you!

For this one, you want to use string concatenation - we can do that when assigning a string value by using the + sign. From the challenge, we know we want userName to have:
- id in caps
- a # sign
- lastName in caps
So, we can get the final userName value by putting in all three of those things, connected by + signs, like this:
var userName = id.toUpperCase() + '#' + lastName.toUpperCase();
