Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Raising Exceptions

How do I compare a string to an integer to see if the string has that many letters?

def suggest(product_idea):
    if int(product_idea) < 3:
        raise ValueError("Your product name is too short!!")
    return product_idea + "inator"

I don't know what's wrong with my code. I keep getting this ValueError message: ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'bacon'

[MOD: added ```python formatting -cf]

Hey Skye Chao, The function your are looking for is len().
