2,894 PointsHow do I define a file on a remote server to receive contacts
Hi, This is a real life situation. I built a website for myself at www.teardropdeepspace.com . I want to put a contact form on it. In this lesson we have been working with a local (MAMP) server. How do I create a file that will receive data when my website is hosted remotely by a paid-for hosting service (in my case webhostingpad.com). Do I just insure I can place a folder and file on the remote server, give them names and access them through my admin privilege? Is PHP coding understood by most servers?

Most servers would run php but you would want to check with your hosting company to see if the account you have is linux based and would run php. Windows based hosts would normally run asp but these are less common.
