How do I initialize a variable to nil?

I'm not able to figure out this first step of the challenge and am stuck.

You simply create a variable and set it equal to nil. Nothing tricky.

variableType variableName = nil;

You don't have to set it to anything. The process of allocating and initializing a variable sets it to nil (no value) until you set some other value to it.
