ap is part of the awesome_print library. You'll need to install the gem inorder to use it. If you're using bundler you can add the following to your Gemfile:

gem 'awesome_print', '~> 1.2.0'

Otherwise just gem install awesome_print. If you installed without bundler you'll need to require it before using as well:
