How do I skip an item in a loop?

How do I make this function skip the item then continue with the rest?

breaks.py 
def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
      if items == 'a':
        continue
      else:
        print(items)

Your structure is correct. There are two reference issues:

  • in the comparison to "a", need to reference the first character with bracket notation: item[0]
  • the print needs to print just the item from this iteration of the loop and not the entire items
