How do you add functionality, to a WordPress site, allowing users to save posts?

Hello Treehouse,

Can someone help guide me to the best way to implement 'users saving posts' and 'login' functionality to a WordPress site without plugins? The website designspiration.net is a great example of a site with this functionality.

I've been practicing JavaScript, PHP, and jQuery for the last year and want to try and tackle implementing this functionality into a website. I'm hoping for some friendly suggestions and guidance on where to start.

The /wp-admin is the WP login area? Are you talking about adding a front end submission button and login to the Front End of your site?
