How do you select lists within a ul tag with an extra id?

Please check my code and share with me whats wrong with it

js/app.js
var listItems;
var colors = ["#C2272D", "#F8931F", "#FFFF01", "#009245", "#0193D9", "#0C04ED", "#612F90"];

const container = document.querySelectorAll=('#rainbow');
var listItems = container.querySelectorAll=('li');

for(var i = 0; i < colors.length; i ++) {
  listItems[i].style.color = colors[i];
}
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Rainbow!</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <ul id="rainbow">
      <li>This should be red</li>
      <li>This should be orange</li>
      <li>This should be yellow</li>
      <li>This should be green</li>
      <li>This should be blue</li>
      <li>This should be indigo</li>
      <li>This should be violet</li>
    </ul>

We should not use 2 equality signs in one line in this case. Also you want to selects collection of elements instead of ul element. it should be:

var listItems = document.querySelectorAll('#rainbow li');
var colors = ["#C2272D", "#F8931F", "#FFFF01", "#009245", "#0193D9", "#0C04ED", "#612F90"];

for(var i = 0; i < colors.length; i ++) {
  listItems[i].style.color = colors[i];
}
