How does email exactly works?

When you create a domain account, you could also use that name for an email address. How does that exactly works? I mean, where to view them, what is the difference between it and a automatically generated email from provider such as google mail etc. Yeah. How does it exactly works?

You can setup email with your own domain name by adding an MX record to your domain's DNS. The MX record points email sent to your domain to the email server of your choice. Your hosting provider likely offers a free or paid email server as part of your account. You can also add MX records to use services such as GMAIL with your domain name.

Directions on how to set this up with your hosting provider are typically provided in their support.
