You need to change the color of your Text "Treehouse loves me!" adding inside your Textview the attribute android:textColor= and copy/paste the Android white value from the RelativeLayout's android:background attribute in front of the = sign, so it will looks like this:

<TextView

    ...Other attributes

   android:textColor="@android:color/white" />
