8,254 PointsHow is the class method supposed to look in this exercise?
It is the class method I don't know how to write.
import random
class Die:
def __init__(self, sides=2):
if sides < 2:
raise ValueError("Can't have fewer than two sides")
self.sides = sides
self.value = random.randint(1, sides)
def __int__(self):
return self.value
def __add__(self, other):
return int(self) + other
def __radd__(self, other):
return self + other
class D20(Die):
def __init__(self):
super().__init__()
self.sides = 20
import D20 from dice.py
class Hand(list):
#def __init__(self):
#super().__init__()
@property
def total(self):
return sum(self)
@classmethod
def roll(cls, num_dices):
hand = cls(num_dices)
for _ in range(num_dices):
d20 = D20()
hand.append(d20)
return hand

Treehouse TeacherYou need to remove num_dices
from this line hand = cls(num_dices)
to make it hand = cls()
instead. You are appending the dice to this hand inside of your for loop. Hand should just be the empty list to start.
