How to add 1 as the last item?

Hi, how to answer this fill in the blank question?

I want my_list to have 1 as the last item.

Complete this method call:

my_list.___________(1) <--- blank area

I google the answer and the best answer based on my understanding is:

my_list.insert(len(a), 1)

But, this answer is incorrect. can anyone help me to solve this?
