Hey, it looks like you have some of your place for things flip-flopped in each file. So for the html file it's:

<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
  </head>
  <body>

    <p class="main-pg">My amazing website</p>

  </body>
</html>

and the CSS file it's:

.main-pg {
border: 4px solid red;
}

Let me know if you need any more help! :)

If class="main-pg" then you write this :

<!doctype html>
<html>
  <head>
    <link href="styles.css" rel="stylesheet">
  </head>
  <body>

    <p class="main-pg">This is the paragraph! </p>

  </body>
</html>

and in css

.main-pg {
border: solid 4px red;
}
