How to I save data user input into android app?

I am trying to save basic user information, mainly just name and possibly password. Maybe later on I would like to save other things like their score. Is there a way I can do this within android studio? If so, could anyone provide a very basic example? I've looked everywhere and haven't been able to find anything. I appreciate any help I can get, thank you.
