how to parse? how do you parse an int from a string?

someone please remind me hot to parse an integer from a string please

Hi Symien,

In order to parse an integer from string you use parseInt() function that takes in String as an input parameter and returns the integer from that string.

Here's the solution :

var width = '190px';
var numOfDivs = 10;
var totalWidth = parseInt(width) * numOfDivs;

String "width" is passed to parseInt() as input argument and it will return 190 , as width = '190px' so it will simply return the integer portion from that string.

and totalWidth will be equal to 190 * 10.
