how to remove multiple items from a list

I am trying to remove multiple items from a list by using below command. states.remove(['A', 'B', 'c']).

but i am getting error.

lists.py 
states = [
    'ACTIVE',
    ['red', 'green', 'blue'],
    'CANCELLED',
    'FINISHED',
    5,
]
states.remove(['red', 'green', 'blue'])

Part 2 of the challenge expects part 1 of the challenge to still be in your code. So you need two lines, one to remove the 5, and one to remove the list. Your code for removing the list is correct, you just need an extra line to remove the 5.
