How to write arguments in a function?

I do a challenge, in which i need to write a function, that takes 1 argument.I do it.But the computer said, that I didn't do an argument.So, how to do it?

even.py
def even_odd():
    remainder = input(2) % 2
    if remainder == 1:
        return False
    else:
        return True

You pass an argument by putting a variable in between the parenthesis. Then use that variable in the function.The variable is called a parameter i believe.

def even_odd(a):
    if a%2 == 0:
        return True
    else:
        return False
