isn't that right for the first piece of CSS? Because it keeps saying I'm wrong?

The only problem is that you are closing your CSS declaration with "{" and it should be "}" that's why it isn't working.

Make sure you're including the "style" tag inside of the "head" tag...

You are writing your css code incorrectly..This is how your css should look like

h1 { color:blue; }
