html root challenge task 2 of 6

I am completely baffled. I am asked to create the HTML element that will serve as the root 

<html>

entering this I get an error and can't get past this. I have now gone back and checked my workspace, and it is exactly like the answer I have entered, but the answer is wrong somehow.

you need to be sure you close the tag
