You have two issues;

1) You are missing the singers in your playlist

var playList = [
  ['I Did It My Way', 'Frank Sinatra'],
  ['Respect', 'Aretha Franklin'],
  ['Imagine', 'John Lennon'],
  ['Born to Run', 'Bruce Springsteen'],
  ['Louie Louie', 'The Kingsmen'],

2) You are missing a + between songs[i][1] and '</li>' in this line:

listHTML += '<li>' + songs[i][0] + 'by' + songs[i][1] '</li>';
