Hye. I would like to build a simple app (android/ios)

Hye I have to build an app where I shall simply upload some numeric data ( my trading predictions at certain time ). When the app receives data, the user gets notified about that ( special sound or a pop up on the screen or in the notification panel...) and also have a section in that app that shall sync with the historical trading results on mySql server ( spreadshit with dates, buying price and selling price and then the profit ). I am clueless where to start. Please could anyone shed some light ?
