Ok I see, you can edit files through the dashboard by going to appearance < Editor, or through ftping to the back end of your site and finding the theme folder. I would recommend making changes to your site through a child theme.

What is it that you need to update? If you want to log in to your site's dashboard to create posts, create, pages, etc you would go to yoururl.com/wp-admin.

I would just like to change some style in my homepage and add extra code in it. in the admin area I couldn't change the style on my own as every is already prepared by theme. Just want change something in the theme
