845 PointsI am absolutely lost with this teacher after I ended the first course with Craig.
I might be de only one, but I am finding myself with more question than answers with the teaching in this classes, probably the methodology or the flow itself.
I barely understood the beginning of "classes", but right now talking about self and method init, I am absolutely lost and confused.

231,198 PointsI think this is a common situation when you're learning a lot of material in a short time. What works for me is to keep moving along and generally the later teaching will also reinforce the portions I'm confused about, eventually leading to an "Aha!" moment where it all makes sense. Experimenting with concepts that are unclear in the workspaces and playgrounds can also be very helpful.
There's a bonus series course on How to Learn that has a number of number of suggestions for getting past blocks and plateaus. You might also benefit from some of the answers in this forum post titled The Wall, and this episode of The Treehouse Show that features it.

Python Development Techdegree Graduate 9,409 Points^ 100%. Derek, you are not the only one! OOP is complicated. I went through the whole course twice, and I still didn't feel that comfortable with it. But it began to make more sense over time. Keep plugging away! It will come.
