self.slots.append(item)
class SortedInventory(Inventory):
def add_item(self, item):
super().add_item(item)
self.slots.append(item)
self.slots.sort()

Treehouse Moderator 68,441 PointsHey Mary Kissiedu, the error message says "Bummer: Hmm, the items don't seem to be sorted". The issue isn't the sort it's that the parent and the local methods both append the new item to the slots list resulting in double counting. Since the parent method had the append, it can be removed from the local method.
