I am having a lot of trouble with this challenge

For the first step of the challenge it lets me enter userName = id.toUpperCase(). However, in the next step of the challenge, where you have to add '#' and an uppercase version of the lastName variable it does not work. Can you help me?

var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName =id.toUpperCase();
