JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Making Changes to the DOM DOM Manipulation

I am not sure how to get task 1 to continue to pass, what is wrong with my code??

Is there something wrong with my syntax, or am I selecting the wrong nodes/elements?

app.js
const contentDiv = document.getElementById("content");
let newParagraph = document.createElement('p');
newParagraph.className = 'panel';

let div = document.getElementsByTagName('div');
contentDiv.appendChild(p.newParagraph);
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
    <head>
        <title>DOM Manipulation</title>
    </head>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
    <body>
        <div id="content">

        </div>
        <script src="app.js"></script>
    </body>
</html>

hI! You don't actually have to get any div element from the DOM because that has already been done on the first line of the code. It gets the div with the id of content and assigns that to a variable called contentDiv. Your last line of code is all that is needed with a little tweaking. Just remove the "p." from the brackets. just

contentDiv.appendChild(newParagraph);

will do
