Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String Formatting

I am not sure what I am doing wrong with the syntax in task 2

Hey Team,

I am doing the python string formatting challenge 2 and I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can someone help explain to me what the issue is?

strings.py
name = "Josue"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}"
subject.format(name)

While your code is correct, the checker is looking for the .format on the same line:

name = "Josue"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

Hi Josue,

The code you need is as follows:

name = "Josue"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

Hope this helps!

Oh that makes sense. Thanks guys!
