If the argument can be converted into an integer, convert it and return the square of the number (num ** 2 or num * num).
Therefore, you should try to convert num into integer in the try clause then take its square.
def squared(num):
try:
response = int(num) ** 2 # try convert num into integer
return response
except ValueError:
return num * len(num)
