I am so confused on the Intro. to HTML and CSS test.

You set CSS values using a colon rather than an equals sign. There's no need to define a class called purple in this case, as you can just target the h1 element. 

h1 {
  color: purple;
}

You don't have a class named "purple". You target the h1 element instead.
