When concatenating (joining) strings together, use the "+" operator instead of "and".

Hello.

Assuming its like javascript, you can return one value. To return multiple values, you have to bundle it into one value via an object. So....make it a list.

It should be something like...

def first_4(iterable):
    return iterable[0:4]

def first_and_last_4(iterable):
    return [iterable[0:4], iterable[-4:]]

What the instructions say is to "return the first four and last four items as a single value".

Try your suggestion in the challenge and see what response it gives you!
