I cannot sign out. So I can't get to the sign in page.

I am using google chrome and after I signed in initially I hit save password so now I automatically sign in and every time I go to localhost:3000/users/signup it brings me back to localhost:3000 with an error message "You are already signed in."

If you go to your chrome settings and have it no longer remember that password and that should clear that up. I personally don't use that feature, but, having cyber-security background makes you paranoid.

You could also use Chrome in incognito mode, so it doesn't store any session related data.
