Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String Formatting

i cant find the issue again

ugh

strings.py
name = "joseph"
subject = "Treehouse loves 9"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}"
print(subject.format(name))

"You do not need to print() anything."

What is:

subject = "Treehouse loves 9"

1 Answer

In your code, subject = "Treehouse loves 9" just gets replaced with subject = "Treehouse loves {}" so it's unnecessary. Just add the format() after it with the name variable as argument. Like so:

name = "Joseph"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)
