Treehouse Guest TeacherIf you're logging into cPanel you may need to look for Softaculous or Fantastico, both of those contain 1 click install scripts. If you're not sure from there, try asking your hosting provider.

28,149 PointsAhh, gottcha. At a minimum you'll need MySQL and Apache installed on your computer to run Wordpress.
The easiest way to install a package like WAMP, MAMP, or XAMPP, which will install both for you in a nice, easy to use GUI to start and stop those services.
There are videos here how to set it up.
For reference, I personally us MAMP on my Macbook Pro and XAMPP on my Windows 7 computer. Both work great
