JavaScript JavaScript and the DOM (Retiring) Responding to User Interaction Event Delegation

I can't get this event to work properly. Please help!

I'm trying to fire the event ONLY when the '<input type="text"> ' elements inside of the <section> are clicked on so they change color (r,g,b).

I've tried the following. Selecting the ul first. Then, e.target.nodeName to check if the node that was clicked on is an input, but that won't work.

It may be simpler than I think it is, but I can't grasp what's going on under the hood.

Any suggestions would be of great help. Thank you!

You're pretty close, but:

  • the property that indicates the type of element is "tagName"
  • tag names are always stored in all uppercase
