I can't open MyFirstCProgram.xcodeproj

When I tried to open MyFirstCProgram.xcodeproj in xcode it gives me the error that it cannot be opened because it is missing its project.pbxproj file. Could someone please help with this problem? Thank you!

Can you not open the recent project from within Xcode rather than selecting the file itself?

Thank you for answering. I tried that but no it doesn't work either, the app just crashes if I open it within Xcode
