I checked this in Terminal and it worked but I still get a Bummer!

This program absolutely worked in Terminal for breaks.py but I still keep getting a bummer! Try again.

In fact Treehouse has been crashing a lot lately so I don't know sometimes if its Treehouse or me.

Either way would love it if someone can confirm this bit of code or show me the way. Thanks!

breaks.py
def loopy(items):
    for item in items:
        if item[0] is 'a':
            continue
        else:
            print item
print loopy(items)

You are forgetting the parenthesis for the "print" method, and could check for equality with the "==" operator, like this:

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
        if item[0] == 'a':
            continue
        else:
            print(item)

I hope that helps a little bit.
