I do not know how to fill in the display_menu step

Here is my code: available = "flavor;flavor;flavor,etc" sundaes = available.split(;) display_menu = sundaes.join(', ') menu = "Our available flavors are {}.".format(display_menu)

How is this not correct?

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
display_menu = sundaes.join(", ")
menu = "Our available flavors are {}.".format(display_menu)

Hi there, Mehmed! You're doing great, but you've got the join statement a little backwards. First, we say what we're going to use to join it (or the separator), and then we say what list we're joining.

display_menu = ", ".join(sundaes)

This will take a comma and a space and then join the items in sundaes with that pattern.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
