I dont get what I am doing wrong here. Please help

The quiz requires me to break the loop once the current String contains "STOP". I can't seem to figure out what exactly I am doing wrong. Please help

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
        if item=="STOP"
            break
        else:
            print(item)
breaks.py
def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
        if item=="STOP"
            break
        else:
            print(item)

You forgot to put a colon (:) after if item == "STOP" :)

Try this:

def loopy(items):
    # Code goes here
    for item in items:
        if item == "STOP":
            break
        else:
            print(item)

Good luck! ~Alex
