636 PointsI don't know what is wrong with my code?
Create a public method named getRemainingCharacterCount that returns an int representing how many characters they have left before the 140. Base your calculation on the field that stores the current text. } public int getRemainingCharacterCount(){ return MAX_CHARS - text.lenght(); }
public class Tweet {
private String text;
public Tweet(String text) {
this.text = text;
}
public String getText() {
return text;
}
public void setText(String text) {
this.text = text;
}
public static final int MAX_CHARS = 140;
}
public int getRemainingCharacterCount(){
return MAX_CHARS - text.lenght();
}
}

54,972 PointsYou misspelled length
return MAX_CHARS - text.lenght();
should be
return MAX_CHARS - text.length();

636 PointsI fixed that but I got it wrong again. It shows me this text "Bummer: There is a compiler error. Please click on preview to view your syntax errors!"
./Tweet.java:17: error: class, interface, or enum expected public int getRemainingCharacterCount(){ ^ ./Tweet.java:19: error: class, interface, or enum expected } ^ Note: JavaTester.java uses unchecked or unsafe operations. Note: Recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details. 2 errors

54,972 PointsYou also have an extra bracket that should be removed
public static final int MAX_CHARS = 140;
} // <----remove this bracket
public int getRemainingCharacterCount(){
return MAX_CHARS - text.length();
}
}
